What exactly is a token?

Tokens are the unit AI is measured in. One token is roughly half a word to a whole word — "yes" is one, "appointment confirmation" is three or four. We bill per 100,000 tokens.

01Reading and understandingEvery incoming message — plus the conversation so far, which the agent reads along so it stays in context instead of starting from scratch.
02Transcribing voice notesSound becomes text before the agent can answer at all.
03Reading documents and imagesA vehicle registration, a PDF quote, a photo of a policy: the agent extracts what is on it.
04Looking things upSemantic search across your knowledge base. Passages are found, read and weighed against each other.
05ThinkingThe agent checks which rule applies, whether a human has to take over and which field to set. That happens before the reply and is usually the larger part.
06Calculating and toolsA skill is called, its result interpreted and turned into an answer a customer understands.
07WritingThe reply itself. The smallest item of all.
08What costs nothingUsers, workspaces, dashboards, stored leads and the shared inbox are covered by the licence. Tokens are only spent on what the agent actually reads, thinks and writes.
Rule of thumb: a single message runs at around 4,000 tokens. A complete customer thread from first enquiry to booked appointment runs at about 100,000 tokens — exactly one billing unit. A thread full of voice notes and PDFs sits above that; a quick question about opening hours sits well below. Your actual usage is visible in the dashboard at any time.

Common questions

What happens after the first month?

It continues monthly and can be cancelled at the end of any month. We'd rather hold people with results than with contract terms.

Does it pay off at low volume?

We have customers with fewer than ten enquiries a month. The point is rarely the volume, it's the work per enquiry — and often the volume is low precisely because the channel was never offered.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?

Yes, and we set it up with you. Existing numbers can usually be migrated.

Can I start small?

Yes. Many start with service and bookings and switch on sales once the threads feel right.
